Can I model with…Honest answers
Can I model if I wear glasses?

The short answer
Yes. None of the published requirements we collected lists glasses as a reason not to apply. What agencies do ask is that your digitals show your face clearly, so take glasses off for the photos.
The receipts
What agencies and guidelines say
- 01Kim Dawson's digitals rules ask for "no filters, makeup, hats, or sunglasses".[3]
- 02Body London asks for photos with no heavy makeup, hats or sunglasses.
- 03Why Not Model Management (Milan) asks for no makeup and no sunglasses.
- 04Next Management's application asks for a close-up, side, full length, upper body and an eyes shot.
What to do
If you want to apply
- 01Take glasses off for every digital, including the profile.
- 02If you wear contacts, wear them for the shoot so you can see the camera comfortably.
- 03Mention in your application that you wear glasses only if the form asks.
Your score
Glasses don't affect your score. Our photo check only flags when something covers the face in a digital, so you know to retake it.
Questions
Asked, answered.
Are sunglasses and glasses treated the same?
The rules we found name sunglasses and hats specifically. Either way, a digital is a clear, unobstructed shot of your face.
