MethodologyEngine 1.0.0Published rubric

How the score is calculated

The score measures fit against what agencies publish. It is not a looks rating. Every weight below is our own choice (a heuristic), tunable, and published so you can check it. Every threshold cites its source.

01Principles

Five rules the engine follows

  1. 01Deterministic and versioned. Same inputs, same score. The engine version (1.0.0) is stored with every result.
  2. 02Fit, not looks. No factor judges a face or body. Face shape is shown as styling information and never scored.
  3. 03Typical fit, never "you qualify". Agencies make exceptions and decide in person.
  4. 04Confidence on every number. Each factor carries a confidence; the score shows it as low, medium or high plus a ± range.
  5. 05Changeable is labelled. Height, age and adult measurements are fixed. Only changeable factors move in a projection.

02The rubric

Every category, factor by factor

T(x; a, b, c, d) is a trapezoid: 0 at or below a, rising to 1 at b, flat to c, falling to 0 at d. Heights are in inches, barefoot; sizes are US. Category score = 100 × the weighted sum, after gates.

Parts (hands, feet, legs)[14]

Eligibility only: we don't grade hands, feet or legs.

GatesOnly if you pick a part. "Possible" at ages 18–50, and for feet when your shoe size is in range (women 6–10, men 8–12). No number, and not part of the overall score.

03Overall score

From twelve categories to one number

overall = round(0.7 × top + 0.3 × mean(top 3)). The overall is driven by your best category, so it is always printed with that category (“64 ± 7 · strongest fit: Commercial”).

confidence is the geometric mean of the factor confidences in your top category: high from 0.75, medium from 0.5. The ± range = round((1 − confidence) × 20) points.

Missing inputs count as 0.5 with 0.6× confidence. A missing fixed measurement caps the category’s confidence at 0.5 and the result says “add your measurements for a real answer”. Posture and the leg index are simply left out when missing, and their weight is spread over the other factors.

04Health floors

Numbers we never reward

Below a 22″ waist on women’s boards, or 26″ on men’s, smaller numbers stop counting: the bust, waist and hip factors are fixed at 0.5 and the result shows a supportive health note. France requires models to hold a medical certificate[22], and LVMH and Kering stopped casting the smallest sample sizes[19].

We never ask for weight, never calculate BMI, and the Glow-Up program never includes weight-loss goals.

05Projection

What can move, and by how much

Glow-Up shows a range (“64 → 68–74”), never a single promised number. Only changeable factors move, by at most these amounts over 12 weeks, at 30% (low) and 80% (high) adherence. What you can gain for free today (your kit and a digitals retake) is shown first, separately from what the program adds.

Projection accuracy

Every projection is labelled “Illustrative estimate if you complete the program. Not a promise.” We log each projected range and the week-12 result, and will publish the observed accuracy here once 100 people have finished. Until then, projections are not used in any ad.

06Agency matching

How agencies are ranked for you

match = category fit × distance × stated-rule fit × city verified. Category fit is your best score among the boards the agency runs; distance is 1.0 in your market down to 0.4 abroad if you would travel; stated-rule fit checks the height, age and board rules on the agency’s own page. Agencies under a caution note are shown but never recommended.

Every match and every official link is free. We never take referral fees. The directory
